The Cuyahoga County IRS Division of Real Estate Services, the Office of Transfer and Registration, is a unique entity that combines the functions of the Cuyahoga County Auditor, registrar, and engineer, previously elected by the county.
Our responsibilities at the IRS Division are comprehensive. Cuyahoga County Auditor manages the transfer and transmission of all documents expressing an interest in the property, such as deeds, mortgages, liens, or mining rights. Additionally, we manage all duties of the County Registrar, including maintaining a permanent record of all documents relating to the transfer and collection of property in that municipality.
Our role is extensive and meticulous. We are responsible for maintaining up-to-date property tax tables for all county properties, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

The Cuyahoga County Transfer Record refers to the official property transfer from one party to another, which the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office conducts.

The Ohio Supreme Court considers preparing a court order a legal activity and emphasizes the importance of following the law. He recommends contacting a securities broker or attorney to help you prepare the transfer documents.
The current owner (licensor) can act as its agent; however, county officials cannot provide legal advice. All deeds must conform to the Revised Ohio Code and the Cuyahoga County Transfer Standards.
EVALUATION:
Settlement fee: 0.4% of the sale price or the value of the property to be sold.
Transfer fee: $0.50 per lot or part of the lot transferred.
Application Fee: $34.00 for the first two pages, plus $8.00 for each added page. Half the collected fees are sent to the state for the Ohio Housing Trust Fund.
The transfer and recording of all documents relating to the transfer of land and mineral authority to track the ownership history of all real estate in the county. Ensure the protection of public domain interests through the registration, preservation, security, and recovery of all documents required by law.
